My Story

Emanuela Vavassori

Graduated from the Accademia d'Arte San Luca, founded on Rudolf Steiner's indications for the renewal of the arts and inspired by Josef Beuys, she continued her path of experimentation and confrontation at the Scuola degli Artefici of the Accademia di Brera.

Her works are experiments that suggest images, then escape the possibility of closing into a predetermined form, open to the impermanence of color and matter and to the charm of time that changes them. Magmatic, restless and dripping emotions. The felt, despite the beautiful.

Research and artistic language

The artistic research of manou explores the language of matter as a space of continuous metamorphosis, capable of conveying multiple stratifications of meaning. Her works elude stable forms to open up to dynamics of regeneration, inviting the observer to an aesthetic experience in which meaning arises in the very act of perception. Her poetics questions the notion of completed form, conceiving it instead as a process in becoming, always open to transformations, and matter becomes a language of metamorphosis. Nothing is definitive: forms regenerate, invite those who look to enter into an open dialogue with the work, where meaning arises in the very instant of perception. In this perspective, the artistic practice of manou is distinguished by the ability to articulate a language that interrogates the very concept of form, overcoming its traditional boundaries and returning to the observer an open aesthetic experience, where meaning is constructed in the act of perception and in the encounter with the work.
